Shout-Up! training builds on that professionalism, offering practical tools to recognise, prevent, and respond to sexual harassment and spiking, while supporting a unified, city-wide approach to safety.

HAVE YOUR SAY ON FUTURE SIA TRAINING
The Security Industry Authority (SIA) is consulting on proposed changes to the qualifications and training required for security licences, including door supervision.
If you’re a venue manager, licensee, security provider or door supervisor, this is an opportunity to help shape the knowledge and skills expected of people working in the night-time economy.
The consultation covers areas including first aid, communication skills and changes to training content. You can also share your views on whether future qualifications should explicitly address sex-based harassment, the behaviours covered by the Protection from Sex-based Harassment in Public Act 2023, and the practical skills needed to recognise vulnerability, intervene safely and support someone affected.
You do not need to hold an SIA licence to respond. Responses are invited from employers, businesses that use security services, licence holders and members of the public.
The consultation closes on Friday 23 October 2026.
