Shout-Up! for Door Supervisors in Newcastle
Shout-Up! is introducing dedicated training sessions for Door Supervisors working in Newcastle’s night-time economy.
Door Supervisors play an essential role in maintaining safe and inclusive nightlife spaces. This training is designed to support that responsibility, reinforcing existing procedures and aligning with the standards set by Shout-Up! certified venues across the city.
CERTIFIED VENUES + CERTIFIED DOOR SUPERVISORS
Many Door Supervisors already work at venues that are Shout-Up! certified. Extending training to door teams ensures that everyone representing a certified venue, whether on the door or behind the bar, follows the same consistent procedures and standards.
When we first partnered with Newcastle’s security sector, T3 Security and Phoenix Security became the first SIA Licensed Door Supervisors in the country to achieve Shout-Up! certification. Their teams incorporated bystander-intervention training into their operations and introduced a clear, public sexual-harassment policy to mirror the work done by all certified venues.
“We’re delighted to be able to take part in such an innovative initiative and hugely support the message behind Shout Up!
“Educating the security and hospitality staff that work in it about how to spot the signs and trigger points of sexual harassment provides much-needed support in the ongoing fight to create a safer social experience.”
